Through the use of motfis, an author can stress a certain point, and make the reader connect certain events. In Frankenstein, there is a certain motif that deals with when Victor is describing the creature, or when he sees it. When Victor is describing the creature, or a stranger that we find out is actually the creature, he describes it with the phrase: "gigantic stature." This makes the reader connect that this stranger is not a human, and identify it as the creature that Victor created.
