"Oh Ford, I've gone and woken the children!" -pg. 29
Throughout the book, there are many references to Ford. My thoughts on this is that they use this word interchangeably with how we use the word "Lord". Many times it is out of frustration, as seen in the quote. There are also uses of reverence though. In their society, everyone reveres technology. A great technological mind of our time was Henry Ford. This shows their love for technology. Also, how with their lack of religion, they revere technology like we do religion.
